Hello, I have been using SketchUp for about 2 years now. (V8.0)
Here is the problem that is frustrating me.

I have had my Orbit shortcut key set to the mouse scroll wheel, when I press the scroll wheel I can orbit, simple and I love it.

It has gone back to the default of "o" and I can't seem to get it set back to the scroll wheel.

Something that might explain it, I just tried this, is using the scroll wheel on a long page no longer seems to work. So it could be my mouse, but then why would sketchup change it back to "o" (I will look into the mouse more now)

Any help would be AWESOME I know hitting "o" to orbit isn't hard but my brain is trained to the way I used to have it.

It's likely that you've worn out your mouse. The keyboard shortcut and the CMB are unrelated. The shortcut didn't change from the CMB to the O key. O is the default keyboard shortcut to the Orbit tool which might be useful if you are using a trackpad but with a working CMB, there's no need to use the keyboard shortcut. O was set to Orbit before you installed SketchUp.

Did you install or update your mouse driver? Maybe another Software changed settings in the system preferences?

Carsten has a point. It could be the button assignment for the CMB has been changed by some other application. Since you've reported other issues with the scroll wheel, though, I'd suspect the mouse.

Thanks very much! It is in fact a worn mouse, changed it out and it's back to go.
I should have checked this sooner
