3 solid components are not 1 solid component?
-
Hi!
I've spent a lot of time to find out what is the problem. But I've no idea. I'm creating a sandwich panel from 3 dynamic components. All done, all of the 3 components are solid, but when I "put" them together they are just a component and not a solid component. I've cut off everything on the connected faces, so I think there is no leak, but it seems to. I've checked it with solid inspector and no error. So what is the problem them, how can I find out? Please help!

There is no problem except perhaps your expectation. A nested component will never be "solid." Solid only applies to lowest level components--those which contain only edges and faces. The simplest definition of what makes a solid component (or group) is that the component or group is made up of contiguous geometry in which every edge is shared by exactly two faces.
