That's really nice. You should get a look at the building of Aguas Corrientes in Buenos Aires, that should be a real challenge for you ...

Thanks, Hepf. I've got about a dozen models on my WIP list, and a dozen more on my "next" list. But, that building would make for a fantastic model. Do you know if any architectural drawings are available?

My God, this is amazing. The original architect of this building would surely congratulate you for reproducing such details. It's really awesome you know, because these days rarely you meet people passionate for old architecture and detailing them.

I'm sure there are, the building is now mainly a museum and an archive for all the architectural doccumentats of most buildings in BA. It would be funny if they didn't have plans of their own (even if in spanish they say "in the ironsmith's house they often dine with wooden knives"), but I am living in Rome now, and can't find out. A good shot woud be to contact the Royal Doulton factory in UK. They manufactured all the cladding of the building, completely clad in glazed ceramic, and they sent the lot in crates with very detailed blueprints on how to assemble what is probably the largest jigsaw puzzle ever made.

First of all, nice work Daniel:)

                        Hej to all,

Pilou posted a video where on the minute 1:05, there is a guy using SU. And looks like, he is using a plugin to create a dirty or occlusion map for the sculpture he is working on.

Does any one know what is he using to create this kind of map?

                        Thank's for advance!

Can't believe it's been more than a year! What the hell have I been doing? Anyway, I added the column; wow, they make a big difference, in my opinion.

Good to see your perseverance. Very nice. Tomorrow is the Queen Lili'uokalani Canoe race in Kona Hawaii, in honor of Hawaii's last sitting monarch (and the composer of Hawaii's most famous song), and much history being shared.

Just came across this cool picture. Most pictures I've seen don't give this long perspective.

                                        here's the source: http://imagesofoldhawaii.com/prince-and-princess-de-bourbon/

text says the picture is ca. 1889.

Great image, pbacot. I don't think I've seen that one before. One can also get a good idea of how the grounds were laid out, too. Thanks for posting it; you've inspired me to work on the model some more.

                                            Really looking good.

I can relate to how long it take to make some model. Some of my models have easily taken 160 hours or more. This results in me only being able to work on them for a few hours each day resulting in completion times of weeks or months.

                                            See my portfolio at https://delphiscousin.blogspot.com/
