Vray 1.49 for Sketchup 2013
-
I've been trying to install cray 1.4901 for sketchup over and over with no luck. I've tried academic licences, demos, cracked dl files, nothing seems to make a change to my sketchup 2013. There are no exe's to start vray, no plugins or toolbars. I've spent the past 13 hrs getting more and more frustrated. What the heck is going on? Why is nothing working for me? I'm on win7, and everything else works fine, but I wanted to compare vray to shaderlight while I still have trial time with both to test them out. I'm new to all this, have no idea what render programs are good at what, and there are way too many choices, but I'm realizing that the vast majority of textures n stuff are for vray, so I really wanna try it out. Please help b4 I pull out all my hair!

Great move, Gai...
I really like that SCF are banning such users...

excellent. thanks a lot. I'm having trouble using the file downloaded from the maker of the software, I've got their permission to try it. I look all over the web for help, can find none, so I try every file I can to see if maybe what I have is corrupted, since no one else in the world seems to have an issue. Still no luck. I find a site with a similar issue, and reach out for help, but you ban me? Thanks a lot, you guys rock! Let's give each other hi-fives about rashing on the newcomer, Yeah!! Way to go, man!!
I broke a rule I didn't know you had, before I even knew you existed, and you're proud of being jerks to me? Seems like "help" I can do without -

I have the vray 1.49 for Sketchup 7 PRO and I just bought the Sketchup 13 version but my vray it doesn't appear on the plugins on my Sketchuip 13 but it does appear when I open the Sketchup 7 y previously bought. How can I pass my vray to the Sketchup 13 folder?
Thanks!!
NOTE: The vray version i bought is the EDUCATIONAL VERSION and the sketch up version I bought is the SKETCHUP 13 PRO.

It's better to make a new post in the vray sub-section of this forum instead of responding to this one. That said, the solution should be to completely uninstall vray from your machine. Restart. Then install vray again, but point to the SU2013 program folder for where you want the plugin installed. You can't just move vray plugin files, as there are other files vray uses that are elsewhere on your computer.

Thank you! I'm going to do as you said. I can share the result in a new post
Thanks!

you just have to run the installer again, and choose the SketchUp 2013 installation folder, rather than 7 or 8
