SU 2014 Offset
-
Anyone else spotted a change in the offset command?
Previously I could draw a rectangle then pick three sides and offset them and delete the middle face and bottom line to create a u-shaped frame. Offset no longer allows this if there is a face present. Not sure how much of a pain this is going to be, but I spotted it when trying to offset a single line within a shape and couldn't do it without offsetting the whole face. Definitely going to mess with some of my quick 2D drafting

So it's ok in Windows anyone else getting a problem on Mac (mavericks)?

It works exactly the same for me on my Mac with SU2014 as it does on my Windows machine.

I have narrowed this down. Draw a rectangle, sub divide it with a single line, now try and offset the single line. For me the single line won't remain selected. This may be a Mac thing as I have only had it a month or so and I have found the same thing in SU 2013. I don't remember it being a problem in SU 2013PC.

Wait... you sub divided it? as in real sub division?

Offsetting a single line is copy move.

Looks like I've spent too much time on AutoCAD LT recently where you can offset a single line... thanks for the quick replies. Need to catch some ZZZzzz's
