Topo to 3d printer
-
Hi SU Folks
I have some topography in sketchup generated from contour lines. I need to make
the topography "thicker" (not just a surface) in order to try and send it to a 3d printerI thought intersecting the terrain with a solid cube, then possible erasing the cube might work but my computer keeps crashing (its a large site)
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The second plugin on this page is called Add Terrain Skirt. It takes a surface and adds a skirt down to a flat plane, allowing you to make the model solid for 3D printing.
Install that, and you're good to go!

Joint Push Pull can do it too.

Thanks so much
