3D Warehouse - Model vs. Component

Hello everyone.
I have a question about uploading to the 3d warehouse. Under the 'file'|'3D warehouse' menu in Sketchup there is an option for upload component or upload model. I can't find any documentation on the difference between these two options.
Does anybody here know?

Welcome to SCF.
In SU if you right click on a component you can save it as a model, I assume this same logic is applied in 3DWH, so you do not need to create a new model for the component, you can save it directly to 3DWH as a model. (at least that's my logical explanation)
