Sandbox tool (from scratch) don't work

Hi!
I have a problem with sandbox tool.
Is the fist time I use it.
I've watched a lot of tutorial but i cannot follow them because i have a problem in one of the initial steps.

I selcet FROM SCRATCH in the toolbar.
I click with the mous eon the first point (origin for example)
Then I move the mouse along an axis and click again with the mouse but nothing happen.
It seems like it don't acept my mouse clik.
In the tips bar it continue show me "select the second corner of the sandbox even if i click with the right or left button of the mouse or hit enter, nothing happen.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

What do you read in the VCB? If the length in it is longer than the distance between the first point and the second point it will not draw anything.

Ok that is the problem i was working with millimeters scale! thank you!
But, what is the VCB and how to change the grid step?

The "Measurements Box", or "Value Control Box (VCB)" in previous versions of SketchUp, is located in the lower-right corner of the SketchUp window, when selecting the tool just type the grid step+ enter.
