Exporting to ACAD...lost lines
-
SU 6, Win XP
Draw model, set to 2 point perspective, hidden line mode, export 2d graphic, select .dwg file type, export.
Open in Autocad and several lines are missing: roof edges, column edges, etc.
Is there a "fix" for this?
thanks,

post the file ?

The file is 1128 kb. From what I can tell that seems to be over the allowable file size limit.

the only fix I have found is exporting in AutoCAD R14 mode

This has been happening for as long as I have been using SU. For some reason the EPS/PDF export has IMO less missing lines. This might be paradoxically due to it being more inaccurate...
On the other hand, the hidden-line algorithms of other apps do not seem to be too accurate either. I have seen the same happen when doing hidden-line plots from AutoCad too.

Thank-you all for taking the time to post a reply.
I tried the ACAD R14 export, and I tried saving to SU5 then exporting to ACAD R14 out of SU5, a little better but still lines were lost. I don't mind adding them back it's just suddenly noticing another one that was missed after it's all been plotted out. Arrrgh!
Very nice looking forum by the way.

I'm on SU 2013. Still the same problem. Only wireframe mode exports 2d accurately, but then, working my exported sections to delete all hidden lines feels like a deal breaker. Any new light on this issue?
