Would you mind showing the raw renders? I'm curious how much postpro is in these masterpieces...and second question: how many passes and how long did the rendering take? Thanks in advance
-
I want to put one of these in our gallery....
Have you a preference? Or will I put them all up?
They are amazing

Here you go. I saved them as EXR.

Around 100 I don't remember exactly how many. The original size was 1500x1043 px. They took quite long time (overnight, around 9-10 hrs), but probably I could have stop them before. Also I have an old i7 with only 6 Gb of ram.
Thank you very much Rich. Pick the one you prefer. I trust your taste.

Well I'm not interested in heavy post production. I mean you can do whatever you want with a computer. I prefer to have some "rules", something like you were in a real darkroom.

Great job, is the picture frame geometry ?

People strive to produce photo realism but they forget that photos, on the whole, are just a sterile representation of what is in front of the camera.
A great photo is like a work of art, it goes beyond photo realism and captures the essence of a scene, giving it a soul and a back story and often asking more questions than it answers. It invites the viewer into its reality, it gives you a memory rather than a picture. What a delight it's been to sit in the wintery sunlight with a mug of coffee, listening to the muted stillness of a day fresh with new fallen snow while contemplating the art surrounding me.

Yeah, totally agree. As Luigi Ghirri wrote "Photography is less a cognitive process, in the traditional sense of the term, or assertive, or that offers answers, but it remains a language for asking questions about the world".

Yes I put some mouldings downloaded from here, if i remember well, on a frame model.

I am always appreciative of your posted work, as you have such a sense of composition and drama, supplemented with the absolute perfect lighting.
Please keep up the great work, and keep posting it for us to enjoy and learn. -

that's a good statement...my postproduction is usually limited to adjusting contrast and brightness. with a nice render setup like yours there's not much to do in postpro

Thank you Dale.
