I am using the tape measure tool on a picture that I am using as a blueprint. When I have a 3d base model I will scale it as accurately as I can with sketchup.

The issue I am facing is the tape measure tool will not run to the line I want to place a guide line on and despite deselecting 'enable length snapping' the tool insists on snapping either side of the desired line. This is a pain and yes I did a search for the issue but while I foun numerous refernces to the tape measure tool and guide lines nothing seems to fit the problem I have.

Either I have missed something or there is/is not a wrok around that solves this. Does anyone have anything they can share? Thanks, have a great weekend folks.

In the tab that you turn off length snapping, adjusting the level of precision reduces the space between jumps.

Even with snapping off it still moves in specific increments, and if you have it set too big it can jump over your line.

Thanks mate, I have everything set as accurate as possible, just in case that was how things were. A bit of lateral thinking is to try to move the image which is on a group. Not likely but I will give anything a go.
