How to add new object to a component
-
Hi,
I would like to add a brand new object (or another component) to an actual component without breaking this last one, and without having 2 components, or a group.
In fact, what I would like to do is a kind of fusion of my actual component, and the new object.thanks

Easy enough. I would start by locating the new component or entity in the desired location while the other component is NOT open for editing. Then you will use Edit>Cut on the new component, open the other component for editing and hit Edit>Paste in place. Since you don't want two components, explode the new component either before using Edit>Cut or after Edit>Paste in place. It doesn't matter much when you do it.
If your new component was assigned to a layer other than Layer 0, the geometry will get that layer association when you explode the component so don't forget to set the layer assignment back to Layer 0 while all that geometry is still selected.
Depending on the circumstances, you may also need to perform an Intersect Faces operation and delete the unwanted or unneeded geometry.

great!
it sounds good, thanksp.s. about the layer
I never use layer, so no need to do anything with that ? -
Nope. If you don't make any additional layers, you don't have to worry about that.

ok
mission succeed
thanks
