I am looking for simple way/plugin to move a selected item to a new coordinate on a face, relative to it's current position with the VCB box.

Essentially, I envision the workflow as follows:

      • activate the tool
      • select the object
      • move object on the face (with results showing up in the VCB box)
      • release object, and finally
      • update exact location via VCB box

As a reference, this would be similar to the TF Peg tool by Clark Bremer, but applicable to any object.

Does anyone know of any method/plugin to achieve this?

      Thanks in advance,

        The standard move tool.

Start it moving and type a distance or co-ordinates and hit enter.
        distance as in 12m enter
        or <50,20,100> enter

          Box said it.

          Read the manual:

Manual has been read, and yes, this is a work around. Have you tried the tool I referred to? If so, that will show you more precisely what I am looking for.

Entering values in the VCB is how you make changes using the native tools. That's not a work around.
