I am way too shy to have ever have set up something like this myself. JBB (Thomas) did not ask me, he just did it! If he had asked first, I likely would have said no. I hate being the center of attention.

It's not about you being the center of attention. It's about a community being able to stand up when one of its best member really needs help !
I know $1000 is not so much when we're talking about health. But I hope it'll help a bit facing this.
(FYI guys, Dan told me he will need about 5 times more than what we raised ! So even if you can't give a lot, please do. Like he says "Every little bit helps!")

Good Job Jim... I raised $2500 for a guy here in the states who was fired from his job at Autozone just before Christmas for stopping a robbery in progress. I used Chipin and they let me just put his paypal email addy in, so I never had to touch the money. I hope this one keeps going for a little while longer so I can donate... I'm still broke. But as soon as I can I'll be on it. Get well soon Dan!
