Multiple Sessions

So here's a question. I have a pretty powerful workstation and given Sketchup 2013
only opens one file at a time is it a bad idea to just run multiple sessions side by side if I want to? -
I typically have 3 instances of SU open with no prob

i have found that on a hexa core i7 with more than 6 sketchup instances rendering different sequences of a sketchup animation everything is slowing down

I frequently have more than one session open at a time, even on my old XP computers and previous versions of SU - no problems.
