White grid?

I both hided and locked several components which are part of a model.
When I unhide the other components in the model these components
displayed in the correct shape, but they were formed using a transparent
white grid or mesh. Could someone explain how this happened and how
to make the grids go away without deleteing the components they
represent.Thank you for your help, Bob

you're showing hidden geometry.. turn it off via View->Hidden Geometry (toggle)
