      Hi,
I'm new to SketchUp so please bear with me.

I'm trying to create a simple design using Hexagons akin to a flower petal.

I hope the attached SkethUp 2013 file should demonstrate this clearly.

My problem is I can't get the edges of the hexagons 'flush'.

I have a little skill with the protractor and axes tools.

      Is there an easier way?

      Thanks
      Charlie

          Like this?

First, make it easy for yourself and make components so you don't have geometry sticking. Then, work around the blue axis so you have an easily identifiable center. I rotated copy of the hexagon petal around the center of the tall hexagonal shape. It looks like maybe you wanted petals of different sizes and mine are the same size. Just make the component you want to change unique and you'll be able to scale it.

            Thanks Dave!

I'm converted - I'll invest time to learn SketchUp.
