Update problem

Hi,
I've just did upgrade via Sketchup -> Check Web for Upgrade and now I can't open files anymore.
It says File was created with version 13.0.3688 and you have 8.0.16845 ....
So I upgraded from version 13 to 8 ??? How it's possible? How they allow to acctualy downgrade the app?
I didn't realize that there are versions above 8...Do you guys have any solution?

Did you download an update for SketchUp 8? With SketchUp open, go to the SketchUp menu (left of File) and click on About SketchUp. What version does it say you are running? Did you download and install SketchUp 2013? That is the version above SketchUp 8. Maybe you have both installed and just have SU8 open currently.

Exactly like you said. I have both versions 2013 and 8.
Because version 8 becomes default so doubleclicking on a file to open was giving errors about version.I didn't realize that I had 2 vesions installed
