      Hey everyone!

I'm pretty new to SketchUp, been using it for about two months now to work on the 3D modeling of the home I want to build. So far, I've ran into the same issue twice. When done the basement, I made it into a group, and then hid it in order to model the main floor a little less confusingly. Now that I have finished the main floor, and try to unhide the basement group, it's not there. The first time it happened I just chalked it up to my error, and redrew the whole thing. Now it's happened for the second, and I'm pretty sure it's not my fault. The auto save file is no help, as the basement can't be found there either. I've tried everything I can find on the subject, including plugins. Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to redraw and then lose it all again. Thanks!

Hi. So if you really hid the basement group, turning on hidden geometry under the View menu would make it show as a sort of transparent mesh. You should then be able to select it and use Unhide from the Edit menu to bring it back.

If you go to Window>Outliner, hidden groups would show as 'Group' in light gray. You can right click on the name and unhide it in the same way.

If you don't see the basement group using either of the ways, above, it isn't in the model. Perhaps you inadvertently hit Erase instead of Hide? If you'd made the basement a component instead of a group, even if you erased it from the space in the model, you'd be able to recover the basement from the In Model Component library.
