I am thinking that it is going to be problematic for SketchUp 8 users
in the near times coming if the Ruby developers attach to the new version of
      SketchUp 2.013 , or maybe not .

      What I mean is :
will it be possible to run in SketchUp 8
the new updated plugins with its new improvements made for SketchUp 2.013 ?
      Or will it not ?

      thanks

      ,))),

SketchUp is usually fully backwards compatible. Developers have already moved to SU2013, but did users notice it? Did plugins stop working in older versions?

I am convinced plugin developers would do everything to make their plugins available to as many users as possible, in as many versions as possible. I believe even more than the SketchUp team officially supports.

I wouldn't worry about it, Juan. If you have been keeping up with the latest updates to some of the most popular rubies, you've been using 2013 versions for weeks. Did you notice any difference? 😄

I have no idea of what you both are talking about but I feel really happy with this good news 😄

            Thanks a lot

I think the only new thing in the API is the action to open EW at a given page. Otherwise it's all the same. So all plugins developed "for 2013" will work just as before.
