Help Finding a plugin if there is one
-
Is there a plug-in so I can save my assembly one time rather than having to save it many times in the same drawing ?
Is there a way I don't have to use so many scene's all the time, so that I can save straight to the assembly ?
Thanks for any help.

Hi.
Could you explain your use of the term "assembly"? Do you mean a Sketchup "group", or "component" or the entire model? Or do you mean a specific collection of groups or components? It might be helpful if you could attach an image or a sketch or the .skp file so that folks can help you. Your scenes question suggests several possible answers depending on what you want to accomplish. -
My language skills are poor, sorry .. but I will try
attached is a picture that may help. I hopethanks for the help

Hi, IAHo:
I think you are saying that you want to save all of those components at once. You can select them and make them one component if you desire. They will each retain their identities as separate components but members of the larger component.
I am only guessing here:
Perhaps you want to look into the use of Layers, and assign these components to a specific named layer and then use Scenes to manage views, visibility, and so forth?
I am sorry I don't know your experience level in this program.
Please do respond with more information. There are many here who can help you.And I apologize for my language skills not being so great in your language-- which is?
I can only stumble along in those based on Latin. But if there is difficulty, you can also join this Forum hopefully in your native tongue. Please do update your User Profile. Often this is helpful to provide answers that are more relevant to your experience.

Hi, IAho:
Since you mentioned plugin in your thread title, maybe tak2hata's Building Structure Tools? maybe not.
What I said in my first reply still holds. When you insert all of those skp's of different parts of your assembly, they are defined as components in your working file. That is because a Sketchup component is basically a .skp file itself. Collecting a bunch of components and defining this collection as a component with a unique name will create an "assembly".Does this help?
