I still am having Buildedge crashes. Brendon contacted me and I responded. I cannot locate a .log fileI have noticed that when I commit to SU or explode the BE geometry it will crash once I envoke BE again
Paul
Hi Paul,
Brendon should be back in touch with you today!
Thanks!

Hi Aaron
I've just downloaded the Open Beta Version and was having a ply around with layouts etc.
Excellent piece of software !
I've probably done something I wasn't meant to and ended up with strange results.
I created a simple wall layout, Selected the whole layout ( probably should've grouped it !) and then moved the layout both up and along the axes. Some walls get left behind - and others get flipped about - see attached pix.Like I said its probably misuse at my end but thought I'd mention it

Hi Aaron,
this tool could be a great help in building constructions. I started with a simple floor plan. Then I saved the model and closed Sketchup. After restarting and opening the SketchUp model again, the tool could not be started again and also caused a SketchUp crash.
My System:
Sketchup 8 Pro
Operating System
MS Windows Prof 7 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core I7 860 @ 2.80GHz
Lynnfield 45nm TechnologyRAM
16,0 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz
Graphics
512MB Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 (XFX Pine Group)
Hard Drives
244GB Samsung SSD 840 Series ATA Device (SATA-SSD)
313GB Seagate ST3320613AS ATA Device (SATA)

I too have been having Buildedge crashes. I recently added a 2gb graphics card and I thought it behaved better. It does still crash. I can make it crash if I build a model (floor, walls & roof) then explode the model, after that I go and click the BE tool and it crashes -
Hi all,
There are definitely a few issues in this release of the software. There is a general instability that we have tracked down and are fixing. I hope to release that very shortly.
Also, there is an issue with moving from BuildEdge PLAN 1.0 to this beta causes issues with the settings files. Moving back and forth between versions causes PLAN to not load.
Both of these issues should be fixed and released very soon (hopefully the first part of this week).
Keep an eye out for that update!
Thanks!

Hi CT!
BuildEdge PLAN entities cannot be grouped or moved in a group until after you commit the entities. The issue is with the data that buildEdge hold about those entities. The ideal way to work is to complete your BuildEdge PLAN model, then commit it to SketchUp, and then move it around. If you are still having a problem with starting PLAN up again, let me know and I can get you in touch with our help desk. Brendon should be able to get you up and running again.
Thanks!

Thanks for the 2.0 Beta! I'm a fan of the current version, and I really like the 2.0 features you've added. Has anyone here experienced an issue with the Beta licensing? The beta seemed to work for a few days, but now I get an error when trying to start the plugin - I get an error message stating:
"BuildEdge PLAN could not be loaded. License is not activated."
If I reinstall the 1.x plugin, it works as expected. As soon as I install the 2.0 Beta, I get the error message above.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Cheers

Same problem here .

Dear Aaron,
I downloaded the buildedge plan but when I'm going to use it says that buildedge plan can't be loaded. License is not activated.
Pls kindly help me.
Thanks

Hi guys,
The first release of BuildEdge PLAN 2.0 Beta did expire, but I am happy to say that we have released a new one! Please visit our download page and download again and you will get a new, improved version!
-
Thanks Aaron, so we still need to remove the last version...?
Edit: I guess I could just read the installation instructions.
-
it's worth mentioning anyway, Andrew!
The newest version of the installer will clean out the previous version, so you can just run it over top of your old software. If you have a licensed installation (i.e. you paid for PLAN at some point in the past) it will not affect your security at all, and you will be able to run software after the Beta period has expired.
Please download a copy and let me know what you all think!
Thanks!

Doing that now, Aaron!!

Does it necessary to uninstall previous version of the Beta ?
If yes how ?There is no Nยฐ of version on the window box so it's difficult to see if we are using the lastest version!
There is no video tutorial of the beta version ?
DOes it possible to create a hole in the floor during the processus ?

Hi Pilou,
Thanks for the questions! Let me answer one at a time:
You do NOT have to uninstall before installing this version. In fact, the new installer will remove old files and install overtop of the old software, so PLEASE do install over the old software.
The version of the software can be found in the Extensions tab of the Preferences dialog. If you go there and click on BuildEdge PLAN in the list, it will display the version number. The versions for this release are:
- Windows - 2.0 Beta 2 272
- Mac - 2.0 Beta 2 113
There is a video walkthrough of 2.0 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpNOFtlyY-M
Sorry... no openings in floor (yet ). to create a hole in the floor, you can break the floor into multiple pieces, with a gap between.
Thanks again for the questions, and thanks for using PLAN!
