Your work is fantastic, very imaginative, and very detailed (and I like details)@ Steve M.: did you mean you have a real '56 Sunliner car, or did you build that model? When I don't have time or not so interested in modeling certain models, I downloaded some from the warehouse like that Sunliner.
Anyway, thanks for your comments. Glad you like my work. Yes, I love details.@bryan k said:

I am happy that I am an inspiration for other Sketchup artists out there. One of the secrets of being a better modeler is practice, practice and practice. Pratice makes perfect as they say.
Hey everyone,
I hope you had a great weekend.
Here are some more vehicles. As usual, Sketchup + VrayfS + Photoshop.
Have a terrific week!

Thanks, Steve. Your model was very useful.
Hi everyone,
I hope you had a great weekend.
Here are some concepts for some space fighters. The first one was part of the vehicles from my personal project that I worked on during the winter break. Sketchup + VrayFS + Photoshop
The 4 sketches were done in late 2011. There were line sketches on top of Sketchup models.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Eric. Thanks for your kind comment. Much appreciated.
I know that both of my Sci-fi and Fantasy threads are some of the most viewed on Sketchucation. However, I don't get many replies. Not that I expect people to reply, but sometimes it is nice to see you guys are interested in my work by posting comments, feedback or questions. Don't worry, I won't bite.
Anyway, back to the Sketchup models. I have posted sci-fi and contemporary military vehicles, submarines, tanks, spaceship, droids, helicopters. How about some airplanes?
So here's a couple of them.
Good day to you all,

Ken, your work is mind blowing, I'd really love to see your texturing techniques, all your stuff is so well made and textured.

Have you somewhere a step by step of an airplane ? Video ?

So much amazing work.
I wish I had so much time to make so many awesome models and also would love to be as good with photoshop. -

Thanks, Pete! Sorry for the late reply. I finally have the time to gather some images and put them together.
I do most of my texturing in Photoshop as postwork with different types of layers (diffuse/colors/materials; grimmaps; highlights, etc.). I play with the layer styles (multiply, overlay, etc.).
I hope the images below will be useful to you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great one!

Hi guys,
I hope you had a great weekend.
Here's another tutorial showing a little bit more layers than the previous images. Usually most of my renders have an alpha channel so I can separate the vehicle from the background.
You can have the alpha channel either with the option in Vray for Sketchup (or any other rendering engines should have it, too), or create your own in Sketchup my making your model all black and the background white.
I have also shown a Decal layer here. I always have lots of them for the little details. I have somewhat merged them in the Diffuse/Colors layer in the previous tuts.
Hope this helps.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi there,
I have posted some sci-fi concepts before but never mentioned about the game they were for. That game, Defiance, just shipped a couple days ago. You can check it out here:
http://www.defiance.com/en/game/?CAS_REDIR=trueI did some 3D conceptual models for this MMO game back in 2010.
I did post some images of alien props if you go back in the earlier posts.
Here are some more.
Cheers!

By the way, there is a tutorial on Sketchupartists.org about my texturing techniques. Here's the link http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/sketchup-and-photoshop/art-of-sketchup-texture-workflow/, alghough you probably saw all of them already in my previous posts.
