Any thoughts as to what setting changes to make so I get a stronger reflection?

Increase IOR to glass. I used to have this issue with Twilight thin glass preset too. Easily sorted.

Nick and Oli, thank you. I'll see what I can do with it.

Tom, this is a variation on a style I described in an upcoming CatchUp. I think it'll be out pretty soon. In this case the line style is one I made to look like pencil lines. And then it's a simple render with only materials applied to the glass and the hinges. There's a painting applied as a material on the wall behind and to the right of the camera set specifically to reflect in the glass. I used three spotlights to light the scene.

I'll see if I can make a view showing the "set" for the render.

Extra points to whomever can identify the painting reflected in the glass. 😉

I guess I didn't understand what you were looking for. I'm still not sure I do but if you're satisfied, that's fine. I guess you were just interested in the sketchy lines but nothing else?

I made a shot of the whole set up for this render anyway. I used a small set to keep the light in. On the inside of the wall to the right of the opening I placed a painting to reflect in the glass.

it is looking nice!! Dave R, you could improve your reflections using an HDRI...

Thanks. How would the HDRI improve the reflection over the image I'm using? I don't want or need a big panoramic image for this scene.

hi! I don't know how KT works, but with other software it's possible to override reflections, especially if in the scene there's nothing but only the object that's casting the reflections...
here comes a link to a tutorial, it's for 3D max but I think the final result shows how the reflections were improved by HDRI

                      hope it is helpful

Thank you Victor. It's an interesting tutorial but I'm not sure how the HDRI would really help since the cabinets are inside a box and the HDRI would be outside. HDRIs might be something I'll look at one day but I like keeping my renders simple. I have no intention of trying to make anyone think my images are photographs and I don't want to spend hours creating images. There's no return on that investment for me. Quick and easy is what I'm after. Even with the reflections and three lights the render time was under three minutes.
