I am making holes when I add some small bumps to a surface.

I put the bumps on a flat surface to see if that would help.

I am using the http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30504]"Solid Inspector" plugin to illustrate the holes.

This showed up trying to use the Pro Solid Tools Subtract method.

The bumps are not solid when placed on the surface of the 2nd object, they appear to be solid when just on the first flat surface.

I tried extruding the bumps directly off the 2nd surface but that also produces holes.

So how do I make this solid?

    Thanks for the help.

It looks to me as if you need some help with using the Move tool to accurately place the bumps on the other thing. It also appears the bump 'assembly' needs some work to be correct. Look for a PM from me shortly.

Well thanks Dave R for the time you spent helping me with this.

Of course I had to change the model you worked on and ended up with more holes.

Which Solid Inspectorshowed me but I was not able to manually make the repairs.

So I purchased the SuSolid Plugin. Wow what a tool that is, it works so well.

I keep trying to understand SketchUp and work these problems out but so far, for my two biggest ones using a Plugin was my answer.

Well thanks again Dave and I am definitely using the things you showed me. 😄
