      Looks great, only thing my eye is confused about is floor, what is it? Looks like it's some kind of hardwood but too small.

        I don't know how it's called in english. In french we call it something like "standing timber". It's a bunch of small wood planks with the fibers vertical instead of horizontal.
        A bit like this but more randomly placed :

            When I was in school, I visited the engineering materials testing labs and the floors were "paved" with solid oak block tiles like this. Probably for impact absorption and comfort under foot. Concrete would fracture and spall otherwise.

            I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

              Well actually it's quite a cheap wood floor due to the fact that it's made with a patchwork of scraps or parts aesthetically less noble of woods. 😉
