Textures don't load
-
I've moved Ver 7.1 to a new MacPro running Mountain Lion 10.8.2, and the textures (jpg files) that are in the application package resources folder won't load. Preview won't open them either. And I cannot add any of the old textures back in from the jpg's. The only way to retrieve them is to put them into drawing file and manually import them one at a time. Is there a way to get sketch-up to recognize these jpg's as textures?

those aren't the textures.. sketchup materials have a .skm extension -- not .jpg
the standard sketchup textures are located at:
Macintosh HD--Library--Application Support--Google Sketchup (#)--SketchUp--Materials
any custom made textures will be at:
User--Library--Application Support--Google Sketchup (#)--SketchUp--Materials[and i'm not really sure what those jpgs in the app contents are doing? most of mine are corrupt and the ones that will (sort of) open look like this:

these are in the .app contents so it's not like i have a corrupt folder that's been collecting dust on my hd.. they were just (re) installed when i updated to M5..

also.. i might be misinterpreting but...
when you say you moved 7.1 to a new computer, do you mean you simply moved/copied the app (in the applications folder) from the old computer to the new one?
if so, you missed a lot of supporting files.. i'd recommend downloading the installer and running it on the new computer..

JEFF,
Thanx, I DID A FRESH REINSTALL of 7 and updated to 7.1 & relicensed. -
Jeff,
Thanks a bunch! I transferred the old textures to the new computer @ User--Library--Application Support--Google Sketchup (#)--SketchUp--Materials, and that worked great.
