Currently the sketchup image export setup is quite poor, for example the height/width ratio is dependant on the size of the window you're working in, which means making a perfectly square shot, or even a portrait shot rather than landscape is almost impossible; unless of course you re-size your window to suit, in which case making the setup repeatable then becomes an issue.

I'd like it if you could set each scene with an "output resolution" or "aspect ratio" control, which then introduces safe frames within the sketchup window, much like the ones in 3ds max. Surely this wouldn't be too hard to impliment? I think it would be a massively important feature.

advanced camera tools allows you to set an aspect ratio but in somewhat typical SU fashion, the devs didn't incorporate a way to export at that ratio ๐Ÿ˜•

the renderer plugins can do it so i'm sure a ruby could be written (if one hasn't already been made?) to do what you want..

I agree, it would be nice if they implemented it for PC's as well.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.
