      Hi!

this is my first try with SU. normaly i am a modo guy 😳
but for buildings SU is so incredible fast.....

i try do model every detail of this church.

      what do you think?

and the first question: how can i make a offset on both sides of a bunch of coplanar lines with one command?

      thanks for watching!

Very good first work. Only question would be Did you intentionally reverse all of the faces, or, is that a color applied to the faces?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

              very nice first project indeed!!

As for your question: look at the plugin 'Tools on surface' in the plugin-section. It could be the thing you're looking for πŸ˜‰

And, what Mitcorb says, it looks like everything is backfaced (default = purple) instead of frontfaced (white = default)...

                    Nice detailing for a first.

So that you know, you can export images from sketchup by going to File/Export/2d graphics .

                    Take care !

Looking good. I have to say the same thing: it looks better than my first project. Or even my third one.

Yes you're right! And for mapping the texture(on sphere , cilindrical or other faces)you can use UV Tool. That's the best plug-in.You can find it here on this site.
