My first project.......in SU

Hi!
this is my first try with SU. normaly i am a modo guy

but for buildings SU is so incredible fast.....i try do model every detail of this church.
what do you think?
and the first question: how can i make a offset on both sides of a bunch of coplanar lines with one command?

Very good first work. Only question would be Did you intentionally reverse all of the faces, or, is that a color applied to the faces?

As for your question: look at the plugin 'Tools on surface' in the plugin-section. It could be the thing you're looking for

And, what Mitcorb says, it looks like everything is backfaced (default = purple) instead of frontfaced (white = default)...

Nice detailing for a first.
So that you know, you can export images from sketchup by going to File/Export/2d graphics .

Yes you're right! And for mapping the texture(on sphere , cilindrical or other faces)you can use UV Tool.That's the best plug-in.You can find it here on this site.
