How to bend perforated sheet around tube-pipe ?

Hi again. I want bend this or similar sheet around one tube or make tube with that sheet.
Is this possible ?

Create cylinder of the desired length and diameter. Apply mesh texture to the cylinder, align as needed. Delete end caps. You now have the desired mesh tube.

That would be a better way to do it using a texture for the mesh. He's got actual geometry in his example, though.

Hi. I try with shape bender plugin, and I get this defect.

Go back to the first post of the plugin's thread and watch the videos. The component, the line and the curve need to run parallel to the RED axis, not the green one as you show in your video.

And, it does not work with closed curve.

And the sheet needs to be as long as the curve . I did it with shape bender for the attached device .
You can do it manually though if you divide the sheet in 24 segments equal with the length of the circle's segments and then you rotate all the segments of the sheet to match the circle .
