500 Plugin Requests
-
Might help if the list were brought into a spreadsheet, and categorized, such as "Construction Lines/Points", "Importers", "Exporters", etc.

Wow, this is cool. I didn't see this when you posted it Jim. Very cool.

Thanks! Now, list ones that are all or partially provided already.

Do you mean an update to that list showing which of those have since been created? Or did you just want a complete list of all plugins hosted on SCF? The complete liste exists:

I was only kidding. Assembling 500 posts is perhaps enough! Yeah, I meant of these, I wonder how many are actually taken care of. I guess that's a job for me then

I read one where TIG was about to post a solution but the link wasn't there.

Cool a second chance for some ones!

Perhaps there was already a solution, or I posted a full blown solution in another thread
although I would usually post a link to that...
The only one I can recall was ages ago - EarthMover's 'tiling' request, which was superseded by events, when several example scripts/ideas came 'from others'...
I'd be interested to learn which specific 'request' this was... senility must be setting in

it's a lot like this one: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20065

No really I just use "by rails" so much I forgot this simple one at the top is exactly it

So while there are many requests -- many, if not most, have been answered.

So what you are saying is that there have been many requests, but only a percentage of these have never been answered. If I get embroiled in a request I do try and end with a resolution, or "It's not possible...".
So who is to produce the list of [REQ] posts that have been answered / unanswered ?
And why ?? I don't really see a purpose - otherwise why not do the same for requests for help with say the Move tool, or Arc ? -

(1) Can moderators set a topic to "Solved" against a certain post, with the new "solution feature" (green check button) ??
(2) There IS a search feature to find "Unsolved Posts."
Is there one to find "Solved Posts" ??
(3) Can Jim's scraping script be modified to filter "Unsolved" from "Solved" ?

The answer to (1) I'd say is YES.
Here's an image of one of my posts.
I personally changed the title prefix from "[Issue]" to "[Closed]", but it was Gรกbor that actually marked it solved. (He reminded me of the "solution feature" in doing so.)
