Halo 4 - what happened?
-
I mean, please don't just take my opinion but if you played every Halo over the past 10 years, this will thoroughly disappoint you. It's like they have joined the Call of Duty bandwagon. There are customizable classes in Multiplayer, even to the point of looking like Battlefield. The kill cam is just a fad, completely unnecessary. There are bonus points popping up everywhere +10 +50 etc...killstreak bonuses. It's just not Halo, it's no longer original. It's like playing a beta build. They are clearly trying to captivate a wider audience who are used to Call of Duty style gameplay, it just doesn't work.
Solo your boys may enjoy the game in its own right, they may not be old enough to have appreciated the previous ones, it is designed to appeal to a new audience. There are plenty of titles this month anyway including Call of Duty and Far Cry 3. If they are avid Halo fans though, don't ruin their dream!
iichiversii: when you get killed with 2 shots of a BR, you just turn the game off. Since when did it become a sniper rifle?! It's like you have to learn a new game again, all the weapons have completely different damage.

I've a PS3 still in a box somewhere that I got a few years ago. Never used it.
Though a friend plays some stupid dragon game that involves you hiking all around some kingdom with your hands on fire burning crabs.
Nothing will ever touch Double Dragon. One joystick and 2 buttons.

I saw Bond last Fri and it is great. Well worth going to see on the big screen.

To be honest changing game dev companies is never a good thing, the game will be different, im not a huge fan of the call of duty franchise either, they look great but multiplayer has just unrealistic gameplay, battlefield 3 has to be the most realistic gameplay iv ever experienced in a wargame online, where you need to tem up to succeed, but halo was finished after halo3, bungie announced that it would be the last, studios 343 took it up and decided to do their own thing, and in all fairness, halo 3 was a huge let down, and not forgetting halo ODST, another disappointment, halo 1 has to be my favourite of the games, fantastic, halo reach was also great, but i found to be too short, i think halo has run its course and its time for something new, for example intersteller marines or star citizen, both curently on kickstarter, intersteller marines doesnt look like it will get funded and trive zero point games into liquidizing yet again but its a game i think should be backed, gaming is gonna change sometime mid next yr with the oculus rift VR headset due for release in 2013, something to keep an eye on, iv already spoken to game developers working on titles for this bad boy, heres a link to a clip

, something that may also be considered for using in sketchup. -

..., oh and solo, new bond flick is terrible, best not go see that either, well so iv being told this morning,...
As a Bond movie, Skyfall was actually fairly watchable, but these are always matter of taste...

Cast looks great.

I actually really enjoyed it and I am the biggest Halo fan in the world.
However I was disappointed as it wasn't as epic as the others and some of the set pieces could have been a bit better.
Overall still gets a 8/10 form me.
Really enjoying multiplayer (except for the kill cams!!! )

To be fair the game has improved quite significantly.
On the very first night it just seemed completely inferior but I believe this was something to do with server setup. I mean it really was appalling; jaggy shadows, laggy movement, low res textures, no reflections etc.
I agree it doesn't have the same "je ne sais quoi" as old Halo games, partly because new multiplayer maps seem quite drab and cold. You notice Valhalla (Ragnarok) always gets voted for? I've been enjoying multiplayer too, it seems they've improved it in some respects but gone backwards in others.
Overall better than I originally thought, but no groundbreaker by any means. 360 is old, time for a new console.

xbox720 announcement at E3 apparently?

They actually call it the 720? has anyone got a flake of originality in that company? 720! so obvious!
I knew something was on its way because of the current title releases. Too many sequels, no original new games. Last few releases have just felt like complete money spinners, and this season-pass trend is just sickening. The developers have just copied from one another! Each game just feels like a clone of another.
Maybe i'm getting old.
