I want to prepare the model below for 3D printing. The haus was build without interior design, just a shell. When I order a print from Shapeways I get a totally filled model and therefore it turns out very expensive. Is there a plugin available where I can set something like a wall thickness (let's say 1mm)? Something like this would help very much, because I'm to lazy to do all the modelling by hand. πŸ˜‰

      Thanks
      Kurt

          Hi enhydra

They should be able to set the "skin" or outer shell to only print a certain thickness. We do it on our little printer and it is a very simple process. Maybe you should just ask them.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way with print services. What you upload is what you get. Print services typically operate on an automated system, and this kind of customization is too much for current systems.

Yes, that's right. I'll ask Shapeways, what they can do for me.

So do we. πŸ˜„ We can define (to) many parameters. πŸ˜‰

Exactly! That's why I was looking for a plugin.
