Photo Match Problem
-
Hi to All,
I have not worked much with the "photo match" tool. I wanted to practice a bit. The model can be seen but only transparent. I have looked at the options in the Styles settings but I'm stumped.
What am I doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated

Charly,
Should be in Styles under the modeling Tab. See pictures. Change opacity or hide the foreground photo, while in the MatchPhoto scene.

Hi Peter,
Thank you very much for your help. Actually quite simple if you know it.

Hi,
I have a small question again. I have tried to export the model into Kerkythea but the picture is not visible in Kerkythea. Why?
-
Charly,
I don't think any renderer supports this. It is a special SketchUp function. The photo is like a watermark in the SU document, as opposed to an object/texture that would be exported.

You can however add the photo as a background image in Kerkythea. I am not sure (not tried) but if you are "lucky", the perspectives will be nicely kept.

Hi Gaieus,
thanks for your advice.

Say I wonder if it would help to make it into a billboard. Place a large surface behind everything else in the view and (in the M-P scene) project the matched photo onto that-- and then see if it is aligned correctly in the view that you export to KT. I've projected onto model surfaces, but I never tried that to get the rest of the background into the model.

man, i don't know kertikea at all, but i assume it works like most render engine.
but i tried the tecnique you suggest in vray once and it worked. so i agree with you it should. -
For correctly aligned backdrop one can use tomasz's Bring My View Back. Watch this tutorial http://youtu.be/MK7HAgONdaU?hd=1
