2 days of rain in the Yorkshire Dales and this is what happens 40 miles down stream! Thankfully, our place is up a little hill, but this is a pic of the bottom of the street tonight.

The torrent from a broken culvert has undermined the foundations of these new flats - many flats and some nearby houses [now all evacuated safely] will probably have to be demolished...

A few miles north in Morpeth only a few dozen properties were flooded BUT a few years ago thousands were! Wow, hadn't seen that photo of the flats before, now that is frightening.
