Hello from New Zealand

Hi everybody my name is Cameron and im from New Zealand I've been using S.U. for a little while now and finally going to start my project.
Im going to make a body for my 1/5 scale rc car using S.U. for the plans i downloaded a 3d model scaled it down and now at the stage of slicing and transferring it to a paper template and cutting out some mdf for the form.
What i would like to know is how to export it to pdf or any format, take that to a printer and print it to scale, at the moment the only way i can do it is to trace it on my big screen tv lol, any help would be great
cheers Cam. -
Welcome Cameron,
So the easiest way to do what you want is to get SketchUp 8Pro and send your drawing to LayOut. There you can easily set the scale to 1:1 and generate a PDF file which can be printed correctly.
Barring that, you could make image exports and scale those in some application such as PhotoShop or maybe Inkscape to get the right size. I would draw a scale that can be included with your section slices so you can confirm that you've scaled the images correctly.
A third option would be to create PostScript files from SketchUp using a plugin and print those. You won't wind up with a PDF file but maybe that's not that important.
