I would use an image either imported as an image or a material on a large surface set in the background much like a backdrop used in theatrical productions or I would make a watermark using the image. It kind of depends upon what the model is of.

Here is an (empty) model with a style saved in it. It has some clouds. To my best knowledge, it was shared by Chris Fullmer on the old @Last forums before Google shut it down.
