WIP-My Game Dev projects-Webplayers inside
-
Its not new that i have being working on the side using sketchup for game development, it has being difficult to proceed doing this type of work on my own so i found myself working with Unity teams via unity forums, I have no coding skills but i create assets and concept art for the projects i work on with others and have made alot of progress in this area in the past few months, so im setting up this WIP topic to share my work in the teams to give you an idea how its fairing out, also ill be adding webplayers to this forum so you can try out some of the games yourself and these games are updated on a regular bases so you can follow the progress of these games, i look forward to your feed back or any questions you may have on this topic

NOTE: i will be adding the webplayer for this shortly so you can try it for yourself

Thanx Liam, im just waiting for the url so you can play the build of the game so far, you can walk around the ship, get in and fly around, landing is difficult but i must admit the ship looks great in game

1 of our team members is working on a sci-fi game within Unity, i and others read his game design document and a fantastic read it was, so i offered to create a ship for the main character, and here it is.
Texture not mapped correctly, but still WIP -
Finally here is the link to the playable webplayer, its still under construction and this will be updated on a regurlar bases, you will find this on the top post, scroll down the "check it out here" that will lead you to the webplayer.
lol im sure Marian would be jumping on the bandwagon after he sees this, may get him to donate our collaberation starship to this, anyways i was talking to the developer of this project and hes working on adding a sun and planet to the scene, much better planet from the temperly added one in the scene already, enjoy

Uploaded the privious post with the link to the webplayer, as it was giving an error 403, so it's up and running now, bare in mind you need to install Unity webplayer, if not installed the webplayer will prompt u and lead you to the download page.

The above video is how the character became a sketchup model and autorigged using Mixamos online autorigger, the trick here is keep the model below 10k and you can download the character with its rigg in any format. Center animation is obvously sketchup and left and right animations are done in mixamo. -

This intire enviroment was completely created in sketchup, it had a toon texture look and feel to it but didnt import into unity via an FBX file, so the texture applied is just temp, will be trying this out using an OBJ.fIle instead and fingers crossed -
If you tried Archania's ingame spaceship demonstration and found it impressive as i did you will find a major updated version on his website at the top of his page here http://archaniaworkshop.com/blog/
Update includes more detail added to the ship created by me in sketchup and he has added a sun and a planet to the scene, again all this is WIP but in my opinion its impressive so far, Scott who is developing this for a bigger project is at home on his couch suffering from a cracked tooth and his face is out like a chipmonk, get well soon bud
