Open trk door?
-
I have a basic panel pickup truck with 2 doors in the back..I have grouped the parts needed for each door thus I now have 2 rear doors individually grouped. I'm in rear view and I selected the Axis tool...I want the right door to be open..Where do I place the axis to make the whole door open evenly..? I placed it in the center edge of the door but the top and bottom do not swing with it?
Thank you

You most likely will be better served by placing a guide at what would be the center of a door hinge pin.You can use the protractor to do so.....assuming you are familiar with how to manipulate & "lock" the protractor tool.
Once you have the guide placed you can use the rotate tool to pivot/swing the door as you desire.
I have been very "brief" with above description........if you could upload the model I am certain you will have no shortage of helpful tips/illustrations on more than one way.

It may help to provide an image. My first reaction would be to place the Axis tool on the center of rotation of the hinge(s). When you say Axis tool, to you mean the protractor guide?

That reads like you missed including them in the group, which may be why they aren't swinging with the rest of the door?

This is all I want to do with the doors....

I think you have to align your hinges on the same axis , then take the protractor and place it in the center of a hinge's bolt and rotate. It should do the job !
Take care !
