SCF PowerToolbar - Component Spray
-
Hello All,
I have downloaded and installed the SCF Power Toolbar plugin. I would like to use the tool to spray trees on my terrain. I have a terrain imported from CAD contours with an air photo draped on top. I can not seem to make the Spray tool to work. I have watched and followed the video in YouTube, but with no success. When I spray, there is nothing, the tool is still the pointer. Any help in the process or what I am doing wrong would be great.
Thanks...

I believe it may be the same component sprayer created by Didier Bur.
check this post, instructions, etc :
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=33908I use that comp sprayer (from above) instead of the SCF Power Toolbar.
It appears to be more updated.Hope it helps

I do not recommend installing this compilation. It is outdated and installs some files incorrectly, and will cause problems.
I know it is less convenient, but it is better to stick with the individual plugins distributed by the original authors. You will get the most recent versions, be able to get better support, and generally have a better time of it.

Ryan...
I don't know of any Toolbar compilation that includes Component Spray ???
Can you show us a link where you got it from...
As I suggested in another post originated by you [?] [and this IS getting very near to being frowned upon duplicate postings...] Why not use the original tool's download link and try that version - these compilation toolbar sets are at best flaky and at worst very problematical... -
Jim has just pointed out to me that CADfather has a 3rd-party site that packages several toolbar compilations including files like these AND the various rogue files that break Sketchup when installed in the wrong places.
His early attempts here were replaced by a cut down 'clean' version.
I added warnings to the original page.
He should not be naming these toolbars with SCF in their title,
They have no endorsement from us and indeed some are notably 'dangerous'.
Please post you future questions about this toolbar set directly to him through his site.
It's nothing to do with SCF.
We will of course try to help you extricate yourself from the mess...
Uninstall everything that been done so far - including the 'rogue' files I mentioned in a parallel post...#
Reinstall the authors' original toolsets as they intended. -
Thank you TIG. Prior to installing I made a backup of my original plugin folder. I have since uninstalled the plugins and deleted that folder, re-instating the original plugin folder. I have downloaded the Component Spray plugin as suggested in an earlier post and all works great.
Thanks for all your help.
