Since i am so new (not only to 3d, but also to sketchup) I am designing a desk for myself that will house the computer parts internally and as i design it, it seems that as i draw it lets say a box bottom-sides-front and back i take each piece and make it a componet. I am wondering if there is a plugin that after i design the box if it will seperate the different pieces. I am currently reading thru the the forums but I guess i am not understanding what I am looking for in a SU plugin.

      Thank You
      Dan

With TBA interfaces we can analyse what is to be achieved so that IT can help with automation to achieve it.

If you're looking for a plugin to make exploded views of your model, Chris has given you a good link. If you want to be able to skip the component-making step of drawing the parts of your desk, no, there isn't a plugin. Just remember to make a component of a part before you move on to the next one and you'll be fine.
