LO/SU M3....hybrid update...special char.

Hey all,
Not sure if my situation(s)is/are a bug so I thought I would post here first.Updated to SU/LO M3 today (05/24/2012)......subject file was SU/LO M2..........MS Wind7 OS.
Situ:
Saving SU file and then updating model reference in LO results in most hybrid instances displying the yellow ! flag.I can resolve the flag by temporarily selecting the instance and choosing raster...........and then reverting to hybrid.
So the Q:
Anyone else experience this phenom. (SU/LO M2 does not exhibit this behavior on either of my (2 MSW7) machines)Not a huge deal..............and maybe SU/LO way of forcing me to work W/Raster until ready to output file......?
Secondary to that.............I notice a loss of a special character alt+0129 = 3/8" (SPHAND) not only in function but in all M2 file instances to M3.
So, anyone else experience loss of special character text?

- just noticed while in LO......rt click.....open with SU does not open in selected/expected "scene" but goes to "last saved view"....?

I've had this happen a lot in M2! Wish I new why; I'm sure it's something simple
