Count verticies?

might someone know of a plugin that counts the verts in a model or portion of a model? I've found the count triangles plugin.. and the mark verts plugin.. cannot seem to find anywhere to count the actual verticies.

You can count the vertices with Vertex Tools - but if that's all you want to do then it's probably not the right tool for you as it's a vertex editing suite which isn't free.
I thought there was such a utility, but I can't seem to find it right now. Would be trivial to write though. -

Take the Count Faces by Sides by Fredo 6 inside this Tools Package
There is inside also vertices count!

Notice the little information panel displaying total vertices in the current context - and selection.
