Tornado in Blender
-
Spent some time last night messing with Blender. There was a tutorial over on CGcookie about modelling a Tornado.
Took about 2hrs to setup but 2 very enjoyable hours. The more time you spend with Blender the more it grows on you.
Render took 53mins for 40 frames on an old Dell Workstation so it's not too bad for speed.

Still renders takes less than a minute. I must admit the latest release of Blender is so much easier to use than older version. Once you get over the right click mentality its very intuitive and the new B-Mesh feature is killer.

Did you render it with Cycles?

No, just Blender render. The cycles part needs to be tweaked in system preferences and I daren't go in there
