I have read an article by David Heim. In it he talks about using a plugin called "Weld". Since I have never used a plugin or installed one I need detailed help on how to install. I have it downloaded to my downloads folder with a rb extension. I am running xp.

Find where you installed Sketchup. Go to the Sketchup file on your drive, open it and look for the "Plugins" folder. Drop the weld.rb file in your Plugins folder. Restart sketchup if it was running. It will then be under "plugins".
