Plugin name mystery
-
I'm not sure how I did it but I managed to corrupt the program and had to reinstall fresh. I'm in the process of rebuilding my plugins folder and there was one I had on my drop down menu that was called "face side colors" It had a flip out menu of things like sync face side colors, forced front to back, forced back to front, move front to back etc..
Might anyone know the actual name of this plugin? I saved a folder with all the plugins I had and don't have one with that name. -
I ended up doing a system restore - long story but now I have a screen shot of the plug-in drop down with that tool.. and still don't know which one it is in my plugin folder.
Maybe a pic will help

It's not a tool that I know of, listed here or at Didier's crai Depot... [and I have most !]
If it's a .rb file you can 'grep' search through an old archive of yours for 'Face Side Colors' and any .rb file with that text in [defining the menu item] will show up...
If it's a .rbs file you can't
There are several similar tools around... look in the Plugins Index... search the linked page with your browser for 'material', 'face', 'reverse' etc... -
I believe it is Builder Boy's Paint back faces.

Well spotted Box - you are right !

Found it! it's called babelfish.rb
I've been dropping ones I didn't know what they were in.. reopening the program to see if it was the right one then taking them out as I went and that one did it.Might anyone know if bomb.rb works in M2 or it's just me that doesn't have it appearing on the dropdown?

Babelfish plugins usually relate to translations, I'd be surprised if that is actually the one, it may be affecting others but I'm fairly sure it's not the one creating those menus.
I have that exact list of choices but I have no babelfish.rb, I do however have Paint_back_faces v2.0.rbI have been known to be wrong many times in the past though.

It is as Box says.
Perhaps you have inadvertently renamed it.
I don't know of any 'babelfish' ruby - it does sound like a translator - there's my translator 'deBabelizer'... but that's not what you want either !
The first line of 'Paint_back_faces' is
class Face_Side_Colors
There are now several newer and better tools than this, for manipulating face orientation and materials etc - look in the Plugins Index...

I'll take it back out and see if the plugin disappears from the drop down.. it's that sync faces command that I was having a hard time not having available
thanks for all the suggestions.. -goes plugin browsing again-
