I have been getting geo-located KML files of contours created from GIS.

When I import them into SU, each contour is grouped and each has leader text.

I'd like to be able to search and replace a strings of text. For example, search for "elevation" and replace it with nothing or search for "contour:" and replace it with "Contour,". It would be nice if spaces could be searched for as well.

I can supply and example KML file if desired.

To change text inside a SKP use the tool Didier Bur made to Change-Case/Find+Replace in Text - from ages ago - http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=148

To do it in the file before import... see that the format IS actually 'text', so you can use Notepad++ and Find+Replace, limiting it to single words/case etc to change the wording ? ...

          TIG, thanks for the link.

This, combined with your plugin that includes isolating text, is a perfect match πŸ˜„

In case anyone is interested, I hope to post an example of a contour set from GIS later today or Monday.
