I have seen this anounced and wonder if anyone here has used it. if yes, does it work well? is it worth buying it?

They have a 30 day trial on their website. If it can extract layers properly then it may be worth it, I personally need one that can also keep component symbol names.

I use the below program.
It is cheaper and works for me. However, I have noticed that the ad version seems to do more and I was thinking of maybe buying the PDF 2 CAD to see which one does the best job. What stopped me, was if the PDF 2 CAD is same program as PDF 2 DXF just sold by another company. Which would make me real mad that I had paid 3 times the price for the same program. Well for me to make and educated decision I guess I will just try the free trail download.

I don't how well those programs work, but here's an excellent free service I use: http://www.cometdocs.com/
...no layers or anything, but it does do PDF to DWG, as well as MANY other conversions.

Well just tried out this site and it converted a file that my little program would not open. I haven't started to look at all the ACAD files but so far it appears to be a good conversion.
So what started out as a project taking info from a PDF files I could not convert is now a project with ACAD files. To me a big time saver and need I say a money saver.

I can import pdf to my CAD. (to actual lines etc.) PowerCADD but no layers and little else, such line types (it changes dashed lines to separate lines. The orginal pdf has to be vector of course and even then I found some from ACAD that did not work right.
May have similar problems with this.

I use a program called Print2CAD that's pretty good. But there are no magic bullets out there - you still have to do some work. The converted document will have a lot of very screwy lines and the vector data won't be very accurate.
