Shape bender

I'm attempting to bend horizontal group on elevating arc. The shape does no match the arc on either orientation. I can get it to work by shrinking a copy of the arc by trail and error until the resulting shape matches the original arc. There must be an easier way right? New to this so don't know that my explanation is useful.

I'm not seeing what the problem is. Could you explain it better? What is it you're really after? Do you want the bent object to be on the arc? If that's the case, the straight line needs to be in the same relative position with the straight element.

If you place the bar you want to bend a couple inches directly over the straight line, then the bent component will be the same length as the arc.

The relationship of the length and position of the bent object to the curve will be the same as length and position of the object to the line.
